My husband and I love to travel and we have been fortunate enough to have been able to have visited several "dream destinations" such as Hawaii, Paris, Venice and Rome. Our travel styles were quite different at the beginning, with me loving to be pampered and my husband preferring to do 100km/weeklong hikes in the wilderness, carrying everything on his back and eating re-constituted food. But, we have come to appreciate eachother's travel styles. Now my husband loves going on fancy dinners and can appreciate beautiful arcitchture and history, while I have come to love doing strenuous hikes and pushing myself to the limit (which I never would have dreamed of doing) seeing beautiful scenery in Kauai, HI, Newfoundland, the Grand Canyon, Ireland and summiting 8000 ft peaks in the Canadian Rockies, just to name a few. We have done hikes on pretty much all our major vacations, except for New York, Las Vegas, Chicago and in our European cities.
