Lovely apartment in secluded part of the Los Collados resort. The apartment is very quiet as is the surrounding area. Situated on the Costa Calida coastline, only five minutes drive away from beach and shopping mall with Carrefour and restaurants. The apartment and surrounding gardens have glorious views of the Aguilas and coast. Free WIFI and internet access included with your rental. The apartment has a private garden with barbeque and relaxer chairs as well as a table and chairs. There is room for children to play safely in front of the apartment. Only two minutes walk is a shallow swimming pool which is secluded and quiet. It is safe for children. This is one of the few parts of Spain still relatively untouched by tourism. Things to do in Aguilas and Costa Calida coastline Aguilas is a pretty fishing town still relatively untouched by tourism. It has its own castle and several museums to visit. It even has an English pier.! There is a pretty square in the town where you can relax and have a drink or meal whilst enjoying the sunshine. Aguilas offers art exhibits, conferences, concerts, artisan demonstrations, theatre, and much more. The Aguilas carnival in February is one of the largest in Spain and attracts visitors from across the world. There are many fairs and fiestas throughout the year. Aguilas offers a good variety of outdoor activities, from climbing or hiking through areas of splendid beauty, to diving in warm waters replete with magnificent fish and vegetation. Aguilas has fantastic selection of fish restaurants and restaurants to suit all tastes, all within easy drive of Los Collados. The new Aguilas Plaza is just five minutes drive away and this contains a large supermarket (Carrefour), cinema, bowls and wide selection of shops and restaurants, all open late. Things to do in Murcia Further afield you can reach the Terra Natura park in Murcia in just over an hour. Terra Natura Murcia is a new-generation wildlife park where you can discover a new concept in habitat design which will enable you to come into contact with the animals as if there were no barriers between you – at least, no visible ones! Just a few minutes drive down the coast you can reach the pretty seaside resort of Calabardina and just beyond this you can see the Cabo Cope with its coves and clear blue sea. Further along the coast you will reach the port and resort of Mazarron. In the opposite there is a very scenic mountain road leading the the pretty resort of Mojacar which has lovely beaches and picturesque town. This is about 45 minutes drive. About 30 minutes drive inland you will find the historical town of Lorca. Lorca is a friendly and hospitable town that offers recreation, shopping and a unique gastronomy. Lorca also has a wealth of fiestas to be enjoyed by the visitor and local alike. The city of Murcia is well worth a visit at just over an hours dive away. It is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Spain. Murcia has everything to offer the visitor and you can almost certainly guarantee that no matter what time of year you visit, you will be wrapped up in some kind of fiesta or celebration. You will find the people pleasant and friendly towards tourists. If you like water parks there is one at the Terra Natura theme park in Murcia and also one at Vera which is 40 minutes drive down the coast. More
