It comfortably housed 5 of us and you could easily fit in a couple more if needed. The upstairs bedrooms both overlook the bay and you really can see dolphins...

We had a wonderful time with the children playing on the sand yards from the dolphins, and took full advantage of the...

About the neighbourhood
Fortrose and Rosemarkie are two towns next to each other on the Black Isle coast. Chanonry Point is a unique spit of land jutting out from Fortrose into the Moray Firth towards Fort George on the opposite side.

Chanonry Point has a pebble beach on one side and on the other is the beautiful sandy beach that makes up Rosemarkie Bay. The Lighthouse and our property sit on the very end of Chanonry Point, accessed though the spectacular Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Course, the fifteenth oldest recorded golf club in the world (1793).

There is a selection of pubs and eateries nearby, including The Anderson bar featuring over two hundred single malt whiskies, and The Crofter's Bistro. Not to mention great fish and chips at Jaki's.
Getting around
There are buses connecting Inverness and Fortrose but a car is recommended to take full advantage of the variety of outings that are possible in the area.

Bikes can be hired locally either for tootling around the Black Isle or having fun on the mountain bike trails through the woods.

Inverness Airport is 22 miles from Chanonry Point (approx. 30 minutes drive). Easyjet operates some excellent value routes from Bristol and London airports among others.
