Beech Cottage and Birch Cottage are self catering holiday cottages, centrally located in the heart of the picturesque village of Hartington, which is an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District National Park. The self catering holiday cottages are approximately 200 yards from the local village shops, Post Office and Inns.The cottages are 3 storey adjacent stone cottages. Convenient for couples and families to book one cottage, and ideal for larger groups to book both the cottages. Sorry no bookings for hen/stag/house parties, if booked you will be asked to leave upon arrival with no refund of monies paid. About the neighbourhood
The cottages are conviently placed in Hartington within walking distance of the local inns and village stores.. Hartington is a lovely village and has a number of shops for you to 'potter' around, or you can rest by the village pond and take in the ambience of the village. A visit to the church of St Giles is a must, and there is a permanent display in the Village Hall of old village photographs and history.

Transport links are not good in this area. There is a local bus that runs each day throughout the day from Buxton to Ashbourne and return. This stops in the village at the following times:
