About the neighbourhood
The cottages are conveniently placed in Hartington within walking distance of the local inns and village stores.. Hartington is a lovely village and has a number of shops for you to 'potter' around, or you can rest by the village pond and take in the ambiance of the village. A visit to the church of St Giles is a must, and there is a permanent display in the Village Hall of old village photographs and history.
Getting around
Transport links are not good in this area. There is a local bus that runs each day throughout the day from Buxton to Ashbourne and return. This stops in the village at the following times: Times to Ashbourne: 07:48 07:48 09:28 11:08 12:18 15:08 16:18 18:18. Times to Buxton: 07:42 10:37 12:27 13:37 14:47 16:37 16:37 17:37
