This is a charming spot on historic St. George’s Caye. This beautiful island is where the country of Belize began. Just 30 minutes by boat from Belize City, airport pickup to and from the island is complimentary. Great fishing, swimming, kayaking, bird watching, biking and just enjoying nature! The property has 2 piers and 3 cabins. It’s a Green property! Solar Powered - each cabin has a solar water heater. Free Hi-speed WiFi even on the docks makes it perfect for “work from home”. There are three cabins on the property. Each with its own bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom and living room. This cabin has a queen sized bed in the bedroom and two sofa sleepers in the living room. Therapy - the name says it all!
If you're looking for a bucolic spot to "check-out" for a few days, this is your heaven. Easy to get to (only a 10 minute drive and 30 minute boat ride from the airport) yet feels like you've fully escaped from the real world. Just 3 cabins, 2 piers, warm water full of colourful fish, a few perfectly placed hammocks, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, 2 sweet dogs, lots of games and yes, wifi. The rest is up to you. You can lie in the hammock and read all day or paddle around the entire caye,
We had the place to ourselves with 2 wonderful staff - Eugene who takes care of the property and is a great snorkeling guide (a 15 minute ride to the reef), and Emily, a wizard in the kitchen. She brings her wonderful and abundant cuisine right to your patio. Desserts are wow. If you're lucky you'll get fresh fish/lobster caught on your snorkeling trips or off the pier. You decide which meals you want and when.
The cabins are comfy - cosy bed, living area and kitchen (but absolutely no need to cook when you have Emily). There's a coffee maker with coffee supplied.
A few bits of advice - on your way, have Eugene stop at the grocery store to buy any incidentals you might need - chips, beer/drinks, sunscreen, insect repellent (important). Bring ear plugs for the boisterous and enthusiastic rooster who lives next door.
