Fodderty Lodge: Lodge Barn

Lodge Barn with Himalayan Blue Poppies
1 of 8Lodge Barn with Himalayan Blue Poppies
Barn -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Dingwall, Ross and Cromarty, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Light and spacious converted barn dating from 1730........ but with the benefit of free wi-fi! Set in a peaceful semi rural location 2 miles from local amenities. This is the perfect spot to explore the whole of the Northern Highlands: 20 minutes NW of Inverness, and halfway between Dingwall and Strathpeffer. A walker's and golfer's paradise, as well as being a great central base for day or half day trips in the car. Many guests decide to make a full day trip to Orkney from here, as well as taking the opportunity to travel on the Dingwall - Kyle of Lochalsh railway line (one of the world's most beautiful train journeys.) There is plenty to fill a one or two week stay, whether you decide to simply stay in the local area, or venture further afield and enjoy the feeling of coming 'home' at the end of each day.

We were looking for peace and tranquillity and that was exactly what we got. In Fodderty Lodge you are surrounded by nature but in the same time you're only about half an hour away from Inverness. The excellent location also makes it possible to go...More
