Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Ardboula House
Our family of 10 stayed here for one week in August. House is perfect for a large family all aminities are catered for by our host Christine. Herself and her family couldn't of done more for us. House is located in a nice, peaceful and relaxing location and is located within an hours drive of all the main tourist destinations. The town of Tulla is a 5 minute drive and Super Valu and local Chinese and chipper are located there. Ennis is a 25 minute drive. Overall would highly recommend this accommodation.

Loved our stay at Ardboula House
Recently returned from a visit to Ireland. We stayed a week at Ardboula House. Loved it! Beautiful home, lots of space and great amenities. Owner Christine and her daughter greeted us upon arrival. This would be a very comfortable place to rent for a group. 4 bedrooms & 4 baths, big kitchen and dining room. Nice patio and fire pit area. Enjoyed many of the surrounding area pubs, especially Peppers Pub in Feakle where we caught traditional music during one of our visits. A good home base for visits to Quin, Ennis & Tulla. Hope to return to Ardboula House.

Peaceful, pet friendly property.
Great size property, comfy beds, owners available if required, just had to replace a bulb in kitchen, but never intrusive. Loved the vegetable garden at the front, which I am most envious about, able to have fresh vegetables for dinner every night. Utility room a great size with a couple of lines for hanging washing to dry should weather be temperamental. We had quite dry weather each day we were there however with heavy rain only at night time which therefore didn't cause us any problems. Had to do a fair bit of driving as our intention was to visit as much of the main sites as we could, have never been to Ireland before. Enjoyed our stay.

Hi Susan. Thank you so much for your review. We have made a few changes in the last year to include a large BBQ patio - and we had the summer of 2018 to fully enjoy it! I am delighted that you particularly loved the garden. Happy Christmas to you and yours - please get in touch if you ever visit Ireland again.

Fantastic Holiday Home in Tulla Clare
Just back from a week in Clare where we stayed (7 of us) in Ardboula House. Fabulous house and location which was made even more enjoyable by the warm welcome received from the owners Christine and Willie. House is beautiful with everything supplied that you could possibly need for a home away from home. The location is ideal for driving to the various tourist spots. Would highly recommend a visit to Brogans in Ennis - food is superb. Tulla village is only 4km from the house for any supplies and Peppers restaurant is excellent for food and entertainment and is located in nearby Feakle. All in all a wonderful rental for a holiday.

THE Perfect Place to Stay
I cannot say enough about Ardboula House and Christine. The house is absolutely stunning, spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed three nights and I think I could have settled in forever. You cannot find a better or more gracious host than Christine. She took the time to walk my children through her garden and teach them about all of the plants, researched beforehand our best options for traditional music, invited us down to their farm so my horse addict daughters could see her horse, printed our boarding passes, and even did a load of laundry for me and returned it folded! You will not regret choosing to stay here, but you might kick yourself for not staying longer. It was a perfect jumping off point for the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, and Bunratty castle.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and spend time with the Hamm family. An awesome group of children that are both interested and interesting. Our farmhouse was respected and very well minded by a large family that would be welcome anywhere. I'd give them 9 and 3/4, but the Harry Potter fans deserve a 10! Thank you for staying with us, we would be delighted to see you again.

Perfect venue for a family holiday.
We booked this for a family holiday in the area. Christine the owner was amazing in catering for all our needs and even baked a cake for our family reunion in Tulla village. The house is very large with plenty of room for children and adults to relax. Bedrooms are spacious and have fantastic views. We thoroughly enjoyed touring around County Clare and there were many exciting things for the children and the adults. Ennis was a 20 minute drive away and had great restaurants and pubs. We also were able to watch a Guinness world record holder practice his skills in the field across from the house. He is the current holder of the world record for Sheaf Tossing and works hard to perfect his skills beside the holiday rental. Definitely an entertainment at dinner!

Anna, Raymond and their family are dream guests - they are friendly, lovely people that enjoyed the house, and left it in mint condition. We love to see the house filled in every room. Any property owner would be lucky to welcome the Fallen family - but I hope they come back to us!

About the neighbourhood
Tulla is a picturesque village situated on high ground, 14 km/9 miles east of Ennis. The highest point in the area is Maghera Mountain, while north of Tulla is Asalpnagown with its excellent forest walks. West of the village is Cullane Wood in the grounds of Cullane House and within a short distance is the old demesne of Kiltanan. Close to the estate there is an underground stream and some limestone caves called ‘The Toumeens’. Tulla is a noted fishing centre and known as the Clare Lakelands, with a number of small lakes ringing the village. Traditional music features strongly in the area and the Tulla Céili Band is one of the best known céilí bands in the country. In 1946, local musicians came together and formed the band – and they have since made several successful tours abroad to Irish venues in the United States and England. Tulla also has a pipe band which can be heard every New Year’s Eve in the village. Tulla now boasts a state of the art playground – always an ideal way to entertain active children for free.
