Moleson, La Gruyere, Canton of Fribourg
Our traditional-style, wooden, detached chalet has five bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 guests, and has the luxury of a private, indoor heated swimming pool (30ft x 10ft) and large sauna.

The chalet enjoys lovely views and is the ideal base for your Swiss holiday, offering an atmosphere of relaxation and plenty of opportunity for all seasons recreation or touring. This region is richly historical and spectacularly beautiful, sprinkled with idyllic towns and villages.

The chalet is on two floors with the bedrooms on the lower ground floor. On the upper floor is the entrance hall. This leads to the small, compact but very well equipped kitchen (oven, hob, microwave, integrated fridge-freezer, integrated dishwasher, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery etc etc).

The entrance hall leads onto the open-plan living and dining area. The living area is ar...

Stayed here for a week in August. Moleson is such a beautiful little village and La Taupiniere is beautifully presented. The mountain is on the doorstep and after a long hard day of climbing you can rest in the sauna and pool. Having a pool is the big upside to this property. I'd recommend the Via Ferrata to anyone with...

Management response:

Thank you for your lovely review Quentin. I'm very glad you enjoyed your stay at La Taupiniere.

We had a wonderful time in Moleson. The chalet was beautiful and the pool and sauna such a luxury after (and before) days on the slopes. Our two young children (6 and 4) were first timers and the Swiss ski school in the village was brilliant. The local skiing was great, catering to all abilities, blue/red and a black. And...

Management response:

Dear Adam & Kate, Thank you for your lovely review and I am delighted that you enjoyed the chalet, Moleson and the surrounding area. We hope to welcome you back one day - perhaps in summer next time! Best wishes Sarah

We have just spent a wonderful week at La Taupiniere for a weeks skiing holiday. The chalet is very clean, comfortable and well equipped for a party of 10. After a days skiing it was heaven to return and sit infront of the log fire with a glass of wine. The younger members of the group still had energy to enjoy...

Management response:

Thank you for your kind review, Julie. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Best wishes Sarah

About the neighbourhood
About 10km away is the market town of Bulle, also with a chateau at its centre, providing all the normal amenities of a small Swiss town, together with a folk museum, art gallery and a local market on Thursday mornings.

To the east the Jaun Pass, the most mountainous in the Fribourg Alps, leads to the Jungfrau and Interlaken regions in the Bernese Oberland. To the south east lies Gstaad and Chateau d'Oex, favoured by the rich jet-set, and good for skiing, walking, or taking in the beautiful scenery. Bordering Lake Geneva are the towns of Vevey, home to Charlie Chaplin, Montreux, famous for the jazz and film festivals, Lausanne and Geneva.

To the north are the ancient towns of Fribourg, Murten, Basle, and the Swiss capital, Berne.

The area is great for those into adventure sports...
