Villa Fausta has a long history. Towards the end of the nineteenth century it hosted the first elementary school in the village, then a noisy "Da Sandro" tavern in the seventies, and again: a bourgeois silent residence of a Marshal. Taken to ruin after a successful restoration, Villa Fausta now houses the studio of Emilio Casarotto, a terracotta modeler. This is the reason why numerous anthropomorphic sculptures now thrive within it, and in its garden suddenly rare inorganic botanical species sprout. The beds of the b & b are named after Marirosa and Celestina, two very famous Ladies of the Street who frequented Villa Fausta at the time of the tavern, not to practice the profession but to have fun and eat with Sandro, gay host always ready to give them a friendly and peaceful shelter. About the neighbourhood
Set among the hills, Villa Fausta is the ideal meeting point for lovers of cycling, mountain biking, climbing and trekking, which can be enjoyed both on the Berici Hills and on the Euganean Hills. And the fun is multiplied by two even for golf lovers: two completely equipped camps are available. In collaboration with the Berici Association Life And Sport it is also possible to experiment with paragliding and trekking with donkeys.
Getting around
With the car or with the bike you can reach numerous sites of interest. Vicenza, the city of Palladio, is in fact in the center of Veneto: within 35 km you can visit other art cities such as Padua, or many medieval walled cities like Montagnana, but also Abano Terme and its thermal pools. Venice and Verona are less than an hour away by train. By bike from Castegnero you can reach many Venetian Villas, such as the most famous of the Palladian Villas: the Rotonda.
