Safe, spacious and fully equipped
My friend and I rented Muriel's on long term basis and really enjoyed our stay. The house comes fully furnished and equipped with everything you need and a few nice extras like microwave and waffle maker. The two bedrooms are very spacious and the wrap around veranda upstairs was excellent to sit outside and catch the evening breeze. The house is positioned in a really nice and peaceful area of town but not far from a corner store and the main downtown shopping area and wharf. The nearest beach suitable for swimming is not even a 5 minute walk away. We appreciated that the owner lives right next door so it was easy to report any concerns and they were always dealt with promptly. Muriel and her mother Miss Marcia were very hospitable and helpful.

Quiet and Comfortable Stay!
My family and I spent a week at Muriel's house. There was 4 of us in total. We highly recommend staying at this property. The house is large and gives us room to spread out. The bedrooms are large as well. The bedrooms being on the second floor were always quiet. There was a good size kitchen with a separate dining area and a living room area. We felt like we were at home. It had good wifi which is important for keeping the kids occupied. The kitchen was well equipped and having a washing machine made staying there perfect. The best part was that the house was immaculate from top to bottom. The owner was always available for questions and was interested in keeping us comfortable. We felt so safe and loved the location. I look forward to returning and staying at Muriel's place again.

Modern, Roomy, Clean, and Comfortable
I was GRANDPAcking on Big Corn Island for 1 month. I researched accommodation prices on the usual internet search sites to discover that I was going to have to pay US$30+ per night for a hotel room. I decided to look for Vacation Rentals instead ... and, I am glad that I did ... because I found Muriel's. Muriel offers VERY reasonable rates for long-term stayers. For what I would have paid per night in an hotel room, I got the whole house to myself. Muriel offers different rates depending on the number of stayers. It is a really nice place. It is fully (and tastefully) furnished. It has a fully equipped kitchen which I found really handy (because there aren't many nice restaurants on the island and those that are nice are expensive). Taxi prices (20 Cordoba per person to go anywhere on the island) allow you to easily stay anywhere on the island. I didn't find Muriel's location an issue at all. Muriel is an excellent host and made me feel very welcome. Muriel lives next door, is very helpful, and can guide you to where to go, where to shop, and what to do around the island. All-in-all, I had a very pleasant stay on the island in excellent accommodation. Thank you Muriel.
