We absolutely loved the beautiful view from the house. The house was immaculate and very well stocked with everything you need to cook and have a comfortable stay. We used the charcoal grill and the fireplace. It was a little too chilly and windy for the firepit. We had a fabulous time relaxing at the River House.

Enjoyed every minute! Relaxing and fun

What a truly wonderful house to stay at for a few days away as a couple! The view of the river was wonderful and tranquil. Even though the weather was cloudy it was very peaceful especially in the evening as we sat out at the fire and roasted s’mores. We were so surprised by how many supplies were available in case you forgot something! We’re already talking about coming back next year!

What a tranquil and serene place to relax and enjoy the beauty that nature offers on the Shenandoah River. We hiked up to Kennedy Peak on one day and up to Mary's Rock on another. We canoed on the river, had a nice evening fire in the house on one day and outside in the fire pit on another. The provided Weber grill came in handy as we cooked our own evening meals. The house is so close to the river, just sitting on the deck for morning coffee provided a perfect start to each day.

Outstandin!

We loved the cabin. It was clean and well appointed. We had everything we would ever need. The beds slept well and the shower was hot with good pressure. ( two of the most important things to me). We had plenty of hot water for 4 to shower with no problem. The location was perfect, right on the river. Our fishermen in the group put his kayak in at the house and fished everyday. We saw an Osprey and an Eagle while we were there. We couldn’t ask for anything better.

As first time VRBO users, we were a little nervous on how the process works. But Anne and the River House exceeded all expectations! We felt at home upon arrival, and the house was super clean and comfortable, and had lots of little, thoughtful extras available. We used the kayaks and tubes everyday and spent lots of time splashing and relaxing in the river. The kids appreciated the Game Cube in their bedroom. This was the perfect escape!

we really enjoyed our relaxing stay at the riverhouse once again. it’s always so clean and comfortable here, with plenty of options for enjoyable space to read, talk, hang out, and just be together. we’ve told so many people about this place- we love it!

Our week was wonderful. The property is beautiful and the house is very welcoming and comfortable. Anne supplies the house with everything we needed. We are hoping to return to her home again next summer. hank You for your gracious hospitality.
