The apartment was really nice! My friends and I enjoyed staying there. If you don't mind walking a couple miles, its walking distance from the ocean as well as downtown Porto (across the bridge) and downtown Nova de Gaia (where there are more wineries, near side). Plenty of public transportation if you don't like walking too. The only complaint about the apartment itself was that even though we provided our flight arrival time to the managers several days in advance, we still had to call upon arrival at the apartment to have someone come meet us.
The apartment would be 4 stars if it weren't for the booking charge scam. The apartment is advertised as $62 a night with a $249 deposit (435 USD total for 3 nights). Well, I was charged 437 EUR instead (564 USD on my statement after conversion). Thats 129 USD more than advertised.
