This special, antique water mill with many authentic details is located in the heart of Le Marche, Italy. It is located in an original valley on the edge of the protected national park Gola della Rossa. The foundations of the mill date from the year 1000. It has recently been renovated and styled. The estate consists of an antique mill, several outbuildings and 13 hectares of land with many terraces and a beautifully landscaped nature swimming pool (12x6m). Abundant nature, an adventurous forest, surrounded by hills and a murmuring brook with lagoons and waterfalls. There are various fruit and nut trees on the grounds. Edible mushrooms and truffles are found in our forests. These are used for the preparation of the most delicious meals. The mill with its vaulted corridors and frescos can be rented as a holiday home for 12-15 people or as two spacious six-person apartments. Robust and tough are combined with modern materials. Wifi / internet inside and outside (on the terraces) present. If you rent the mill as a holiday home, you will have two spacious living kitchens to fully enjoy "la dolce vita". The first kitchen (20m2) is located in the house and is a kitchen with a special design and fully equipped. Wonderful to drink the first caffè in the morning. Below the mill are the caves: in one of these caves is a spacious kitchen (40m²) made with beautiful vaults and underfloor heating. Present all modern equipment such as washing machine, dishwasher, large Boretti gas stove, two ovens, fridge, separate freezer. And of course a real Italian coffee machine. For those who do not feel like cooking, our chef Luciano can be hired for the authentic Italian meal, antipasti tastings, cooking workshops in combination with delicious local wines or romantic dinner under the stars. Adjacent to this kitchen are two large lunch / dinner terraces made to enjoy all the good of Italian cuisine at any time of the day. This holiday home in the mill is very spacious: there are two floors with six large double bedrooms (with possibility of extra beds), cot (s) available. Two complete bathrooms, one with a two person (bubble) bath. Spacious bright living room with large dining area and sofa. And special seating areas with (two) fireplaces. Games and books are available. There are four terraces on the grounds of the estate, each with a different character. If you want to be active, there are also plenty of options for campfires, table tennis / trampoline, rocking, walks and expeditions through forest and stream. At La Fenella everything revolves around peace, space and enjoying authentic le Marche. In the vicinity of La Fenella there are some charming historic towns such as Arcevia, San Lorenzo in Campo and Pergola with various supermarkets, bakeries, local mercato (market), bars and many restaurants. Our two favorite restaurants where you can eat great for relatively little money, are about seven minutes away. For the sporty guest the region is ideal: mountain bike, hiking, swimming, golf, horseback riding and quad / motorcycling. The owners speak Dutch, German, English and Italian. Dogs are welcome on request! In the months of October and November we have the truffle arrangement. Have you ever wanted to participate in a truffle hunt? And taste delicious slow food dishes? A week, long weekend or mid-week? We are happy to inform you about this. Benvenuto a Fenella.More

Our group of six friends stayed here for an extended weekend in early November 2016. After a very long day's travelling, and slightly confusing directions (the sat nav's fault, not Rene the owner's), we arrived to this beautiful house brilliantly lit in a pitch-black valley,...More
