About the neighbourhood
Local sites include 80-foot Cascade Falls, the Ascutney State Park Trails, VAST snowmobile network, a gorgeous Alpaca Farm in Brownsville, golfing at Crown Point Country Club, horseback riding at the Green Mountain Horse Association in South Woodstock, trout fishing in the Black River (the north branch of which can be heard babbling behind our house), horse-drawn sleigh rides, hot-air ballooning in Quechee, great restaurants everywhere, Harpoon & Longtrail Brewery tours, moose-watching up at the wallow, and of course, world-class skiing!
Getting around
While a car is essential, the village offers a number of amenities for our guests including light shopping, dog walks, river falls, hiking trails, a great little childrens library for Saturday morning reads, a playground behind the elementary school and a greenhouse and wine store.
