This is not your basic white-walled house - the rooms are painted with murals, faux-marbling, and fantastic tile work. Enjoy the nightly sunset from the Venetian tiled screened porch, or lounge on the wrap-around decks. The master suite has a walk-in closet, Travertine marble bathroom, and screened porch with 2 hanging chairs and a hammock. A sun-room has a running fountain that lets you enjoy the sound of running water when you turn it on. The main living area has cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, a wood-burning stove and the house is absolutely loaded with Venetian tile mosaics. Escape the village hub-bub. Sunderland is on the south side of Manchester, and the house sits just a few short miles from town. Drive through endless stone walls and mansions to get there. Manchester, Vermont is a beautiful tourist area with loads of shopping and activities for tourists. Seated at the foot of the green mountains, it's a hub for Horse show participants, skiers, shoppers, and outdoor enthusiasts. The long trail is just a short ride up the mountain. Sunderland is steeped in history. The town is home to the cemetery where the famous Ira Allen is buried, of the famed Green Mountain Boys. Just hike up the street and hunt for his burial place.
