Across the way, the Grouse Inn offers good meals and, for steam rail enthusiasts, Carrog is the final stop on the Llangollen railway. Riverside walks, museums and canal trips at Llangollen, watersports at nearby Llyn Brenig, this is also a great location for exploring Snowdonia, Chester and the North Wales coast.
