Condo/Apartment -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Strontian, Lochaber, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Completed in 2011, the apartment offers modern and luxurious accommodation that makes the most of its magnificent situation, with its floor to ceiling window in the living area presenting the most amazing views up and down the sea loch to give that 'wow factor'. Wildlife abounds in the area, with otters, seals, porpoises, eagles and other sea birds spotted most days as guests sit and have their breakfast at their “table with a view”.

Guests are welcome to bring one dog to stay with them in the apartment. Please note that if you are bringing a dog, then there is an additional charge of £20 which is payable on arrival. If you intend to bring more than one dog, we will not be able to accommodate your booking.

Interaction with guests
As the apartment is self contained and separate from the main house, our guests have their own space. We will show you around the apartment when you arrive and leave you to enjoy your stay after that. However, we do try to check with you on the day after you arrive to make sure everything is OK for you. As we are only next door, we will be available to assist you if needed.

About the neighbourhood
From our doorstep there are numerous walks, from a quick stroll on the beach to a full day’s strenuous climb up Beinn Resipol, a Corbett and the highest peak on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It affords spectacular views of Loch Shiel, Loch Sunart, the Small Isles and Skye on a clear day.

There are opportunities for both road cycling and mountain biking in the area, from gentle short pleasure rides to long distance marathons to highly technical mountain rides. There are eleven off-road cycle routes in the Sunart Oakwoods alone, ranging in length from 3km to 64 km. Similarly, the Nevis Range and the surrounding area of Lochaber offer a wide range of mountain bike trails.

There are some excellent waters for sailing, kayaking and canoeing. Sheltered freshwater and sea lochs provide ideal c...

Getting around
There is a daily bus to Fort William, that can stop just outside the hose to pick you up and drop you off. It leaves around 09:00 in the morning and returns at around 14:30 in the afternoon. However, to fully enjoy the area we do recommend that guests have use of their own car.

In either case, leave the ferry, turning left and take the A861 west towards Salen. After 21 miles, you will reach Resipole Campsite after which you will turn sharp left over a small bridge that crosses a burn. You will find us on the right, about half a mile beyond there.
