Kyleakin, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
Overlooking the pretty village of Kyleakin and with views out over the harbour lights of Loch Alsh and the hills beyond, our stone built farmhouse is in a great location, just minutes from the Skye Bridge giving easy access to both Skye and mainland.
Spacious and comfortable, this is a great place to come back to after a day out seeing the beautiful surrounds. Or, you could spend the day reading, playing pool and overindulging in haggis while taking in the constantly changing view.

About the neighbourhood
We are an easy walk down into the pretty village of Kyleakin with pubs, food, cafes, boat trips and a castle.

Old Kyle Farm is right near the famous Isle of Skye Bridge, meaning easy access to both Skye and the mainland. We have excellent local walks with stunning views right up behind the house. Bring your walking boots.

The Island is a lot bigger than a lot of people expect and a couple of days will barely get you started on the amazing sights and activities.

The most famous attractions within reach are the spectacular Cuillins, the Quiraing, the Old Man of Storr, Dunvegan Castle, Kilt Rock, Eilean Donan Castle, Elgol boat tours to Loch Cuirisk, Talisker Distillery, Plockton Village, Applecross' famous mountain pass and so much more.
Getting around
Although a car makes your trip easier, it is possible to enjoy Skye without.

There are bus services across the Island and some of our visitors have enjoyed some of the best sites on Skye without driving.

There are also local tours that do day trips to all of the major sites and can be booked in advance.

Do please research in advance though as public transport does take more thought.
Car advised
How to get there
Airport: Inverness: 140.0 km
Railway: Kyle of Lochalsh: 3.0 km
No ferry required, but if you like taking boats, there is a ferry from Mallaig to Armadale and the old ferry to Kylerhea.

You can get to us on the train to Kyle of Lochalsh and walk over the amazing Skye Bridge.

Bus services (citylink) run from Glasgow to Kyleakin 4 times a day.
