Honeysuckle Cottage is a traditional Highland cottage dating from 1730.........but with the benefit of free wi-fi! Set in a peaceful semi rural location 2 miles from local amenities. This is the perfect spot to explore the whole of the Northern Highlands: 20 minutes NW of Inverness, and halfway between Dingwall and Strathpeffer. A walker's paradise, as well as being a great central base for day or half day trips in the car. Many guests decide to make a full day trip to Orkney from here, as well as taking the opportunity to travel on the Dingwall - Kyle of Lochalsh railway line (one of the world's most beautiful train journeys.) There is plenty to fill a one or two week stay, whether you decide to simply stay in the local area, or venture further afield and enjoy the feeling of coming ...Honeysuckle Cottage is a traditional Highland cottage dating from 1730.........but with the benefit of free wi-fi! Delighted that everything worked out, and that you were happy with the tips. I hate the thought of folk travelling halfway around the world and leaving without seeing the best bits!! :)

Superb location for exploring the north of Scotland. Cottage is cozy, comfortable, quiet, old-country atmosphere, hidden away and secluded, but easy to access. Beautiful grounds. About the neighbourhood
Fodderty Lodge, a peaceful and welcoming base from which to explore the NorthernHighlands: Inverness, Loch Ness , the Northern and Western coastlines are all within reach. Three comfortable cottages (sleeping 2,4 and 6 and graded 3 and 4 star) set in breathtaking scenery. For walkers, the Ross-shire Pathway network passes the front gate. The golfer has a wide choice of excellent courses including Royal Dornoch, Strathpeffer, Fortrose and Nairn. The wide range of Highland flora and fauna offer many opportunities for the nature lover, from dolphin sightings to birdwatching (red kites and buzzards are seen daily from the garden!) Two miles from both Dingwall and the lovely Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer. Strathpeffer Pavilion, a multi-purpose arts venue, refurbished in 2004 attracts many 'big names'. Highland Museum of Childhood.
How to get there
When travelling north from Inverness on the A9 over the Kessock Bridge, take the A835 signed to Dingwall/Ullapool at the Tore roundabout. On reaching the Maryburgh roundabout turn right into Dingwall. Follow the road through Dingwall turning left onto the A834 towards Strathpeffer. FODDERTY LODGE is up the first lane on the left half a mile after the railway bridge.
