Truly wowed by the Coach Road Cottages. Ivan is an excellent host and made us feel really welcome. We arrived late evening on a chilly night to a lit fire, milk in the fridge and tea in the cupboard, what more can you ask for!...More

About the neighbourhood
The Comber area offers much to see and do including arts and crafts, cycling, horse riding, fishing, sailing, walking and golfing. For days out, Castle Espie Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre is a great destination to see the diverse bird life of Strangford Lough. It is home to one of the largest collection of ducks, geese and swans in Ireland. Exploris in Portaferry has recently received an investment of almost £2m and opened its doors once again to rave reviews. With its aquarium, famous touch tanks and Seal rescue and rehabilitian centre and new fully licensed restaurant, it has created a unique attraction on the shores of Strangford Lough. There are numerous properties and 100’s of acres of land managed by the National Trust in the region. M
Getting around
We recommend having a car as we are based in the green belt outside Comber. It is approximately a 20 minute walk to the centre of the town where there is numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Locally there is a few bus routes that will take you into Belfast city centre.
