Wonham Oak’s Stone Quarry Cottage is a spacious one bedroom cottage nestling on the edge of woodland close to Exmoor. It's light, and airy accommodation makes it a perfect place to get away from it all while being easily accessible. With accommodation on two floors, the property has an open plan kitchen/dining area, a light living room featuring a wood burner and a bathroom with a bath and a powerful shower. Upstairs a comfortable double bedroom overlooks the countryside. The cottage has been converted recently and is light and; spacious. There are all the conveniences you would expect including a dishwasher, washing machine, flat screen TV, DVD player and WiFi access. A travel cot and high chair are available There is a secure, secluded garden behind the cottage backing onto our woodland and a terrace to the front with parking beside the cottage. Dogs are welcome. Guests have their entrance and garden and are welcome to walk around our 24 acres which include woodland. We live within the grounds of the property and will come to check that our guests are happy once they have settled in. We are around should any problems arise. Our Minimum stay is two nights apart from May to September which changes to 7. It is always worth getting in touch in case of cancellation (Wonham Oak). The cottages are non-smoking, and we are happy to have well-behaved dogs. Local Amenities: Nearby Bampton (2 miles) and Dulverton (6 miles) have excellent restaurants and pubs with plenty of shops for provisions. The surrounding area: As well as Exmoor National Park there are several National Trust Properties in the area including Knightshayes, Killerton, Watersmeet and Arlington Court. There is excellent and varied walking and cycling on and around Exmoor and along the coast. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the North and South Devon coasts. There are plenty of activities nearby including fishing and canoeing at Wimbleball Lake, surfing on the famous waves of Saunton Sands and Croyde. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby along with tennis and horseriding. Or you can relax, read a book and watch the wildlife go by! The nearest train station is Tiverton Parkway. Exeter and Bristol are the nearby airports with car hire available. There is parking next to the cottage, and we have the number of a good local taxi company if you prefer not to drive.More
