We stayed here with my sister and her 5 year old for a first ever UK seaside holiday. We were looking for a specific area, beach and above all a place to stay with enough space for all of us, and Ferrycombe did not disappoint in this regard.
The layout is unusual at first because bedrooms are downstairs, but this makes perfect sense when you consider you spend most of your waking time (when not on the beach) in the living space...and that's where you want to enjoy the sea views.
The house is extremely well equipped - we could have had an army stay over and still would have had enough cutlery and crockery to go round! - and pretty much everything a regular family who cooks daily (as we do) is provided. Useful utility room (though we did not need to use this as we had great weather) and the wifi, though slow, works well so we didn't miss out on watching the key Olympic moments on TV / iPhones etc.
It is also handy to have 2 bathrooms for when you all get...
