Having stayed at the local Park Dean site last year we decided to go back to Bigbury for the great beaches and hopefully weather. Yet again Devon didn't disappoint!
The apartment was simply brilliant. Apartment 12 is fully kitted out with a view to Burgh Island and the causeway which is 1st class.
The facilities with the gym, small pool and small restaurant are excellent and you literally fall out the room onto the beach.
Bigbury on Sea, Challaborough and Bantham are all a stroll away the water was perfect - Blissful. Personally I was hoping for a bit of surf but really a Mediterranean feel to the whole week meant no waves.
Would definitely be back..

... 20 yards from Bigbury-on-Sea's big and splendid sandy beach, and looking at Burgh Island over the low-tide sandy causeway, is this truly excellent and very greatly appreciated development of 29 high quality apartments of which we let 13, and, within the building, a very good private Leisure Club. The views over the sea to the south and west, and at low tide of a huge expanse of smooth washed yellow sand reaching to Burgh Island, are outstanding. The island's jolly pub, The Pilchard, is fun to visit (long-legged sea tractor at high tide).
