Holiday Rental House
Point House is a single-storey fisherman's cottage and has been our family's holiday home for 40 years. It has comfortable accommodation for 4 people with the option to accommodate children in a dormitory in the roof that can sleep up to 6 comfortably. It is set in a beautiful garden with direct private access to the beach. It is ideal for families with children, dogs, and groups of friends. The cottage has all modern amenities that could be expected in your own home along with an open fire. We don't have cable because we can't imagine you'll need to watch the TV anyway! The idyllic peaceful surroundings are a perfect place for relaxing, either exploring the area via the National Trust footpaths or boating in the Carrick Roads...Point House is a single-storey fisherman's cottage and has been our family's holiday home for 40 years. Interaction with guests
Liz and Katy are always available on the phone if you need us, and our telephone numbers are included in the information pack we send out. We do like to leave you alone, so you can explore the area and enjoy the cottage in peace. However, we are always happy to give advice and recommendations to guests about where to eat, activities etc. We do not supply activity itineraries or seasonal activity packs. We think part of the fun is to ask locals for their recommendations as they always know the best things to do!

Amazing cottage in a stunning location. Cottage really is a home away from home, they have thought of everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed exploring the Roseland peninsula but it was always wonderful to return to the cottage in the evenings to spend some quality...More

Point House has the most peaceful and relaxing of locations; if you wish, you could happily spend your holiday in the garden reading, bird-watching or watching the boats come and go. Very well equipped and the kitchen is a delight with double aspect windows.

About the neighbourhood
Overlooking St Austell, The Eden Project is one of the largest and most popular attractions in the country, set in an old slate quarry, the spheres, if weather is wet lend themselves to entertaining children, with the many activites provided under cover. Close by there is a china clay museum, explaining the extraction process and uses of the clay produced over hundreds of years. When the clay had been extracted, it was exported through the port of Charlestown, to be delivered all over the globe, here you can still see the square riggers moored in the harbour. When visiting the Lizard the most Southerly point in the UK, most people make a bee line for St Keverne to enjoy Roskilly's locally made ice cream a children's paradise and heaven for adults too! The Maritime museum in Falmouth ha...
Getting around
There is little to no public transport, and any taxi should be booked well in advance. The closest train stations are Falmouth & Truro. There is a ferry that runs between St Mawes & Falmouth which is much faster than driving and much more fun! Please don't let this encourage you to drink & drive. A nice sobering walk home is a much preferred option.
