The smaller sitting room has a 42' TV and log burning stove for cooler evenings.
The bay window of the main sitting room is a cosy place to get away with a book.
The dining room can seat 14 for more formal dining
The house is kept warm all year round by an original AGA. Great for drying clothes after the beach.

Sailing, walking, ski-ing, sandy beaches are all easily reached from the house

A large, family home 1-mile from the beach. Great for a family holiday/get-together with activities for all ages and interests.

The kitchen boasts a large oil fired Aga ensuring everything is warm and dry what-ever the weather. There are two lounges each with 42' TVs and DVD players as well as wood-burning stoves.

All the bedrooms have either an en-suite or wash-basin. We can arrange to provide towels and bed-linen for an additional fee. Please ask.

Free wifi is provided throughout the house to ensure that you (and the kids) can stay connected during your stay. Off-road parking for up-to 5 cars is available.

At the end of your stay you can clean the house yourself or our cleaners can deal with this for you for a reasonable fee. Again - please ask.

About the neighbourhood
Rock is on the North Cornwall coast, on the east side of the River Camel, whose estuary offers surfing at Polzeath and golf, sailing, water-skiing at Rock. More serious shopping is available at Wadebridge, 4 miles away at the head of the estuary, and more serious eating at Padstow, across the estuary, where the Rick Stein establishments offer all varieties of food especially if you like great fish.

The beach, quay, golf and sailing clubs are about a mile away down the 'main' road to the Quarry carpark. From here you can access miles of flat sandy beaches and the sand-dunes. There are numerous footpaths both along the coast, which is largely Duchy of Cornwall and National Trust land, and inland across farm land.
Getting around
Rock is a small but very popular village, especially during the school holiday period. It can be hard to park during the summer months as the car parks fill-up quickly - start early if you intend to get a parking space near the beach.

Otherwise everything that you need (post office, deli, bakery, fish & chips, Spar, doctors surgery) is within walking distance with the beach about 1 mile walk down the road.

The ferry runs all year round (timetable varies) to take you from Rock to Padstow. It also takes bikes if you want a longer cycle route.

There are bus links to most local towns and villages.

Following A30 from Exeter towards Bodmin. From Bodmin follow signs to Wadebridge and then Rock. Once you enter the village Olive House is easy to find on the left-hand side, opposite the bakery and 100m after the Spar.
