GLEBE BARN AT FARLOW is a pretty single story 2 bedroom (1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom) barn conversion sitting alongside Glebe Farm, set in 30 acres of our own pasture & woodland that visitors are welcome to explore. We would like you to think of it as home from home - it has a cosy log fire (logs free for the duration of your stay) and of course all bedding, towels and heating/electricity are included in the price. The kitchen is well equipped and in addition to the oven and hob, there's a 60/40 fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There's even a washer/dryer, very useful for longer stays. A brand new state-of-the-art central heating system was installed in Nov. 2017 new double glazing throughout in 2018, new floor coverings in 2019 and new kitchen in 2020.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you’ll discover a special & varied landscape, stunning views, an abundance of wildlife & a wide range of activities. If you want to step out there’s a network of footpaths direct from the door & even a small pub that used to be the local jail. Maps of the area are available for guests to borrow.
We travel & self cater a lot and find it's so inconvenient to have to take items like washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, tea towels, dish cloths, salt, pepper, vinegar etc, so we provide those. We also supply you with enough tea, coffee, sugar & toiletries to get you going for the first 3 or 4 days too. For families with infants/toddlers, being all on one level there's no stairs. There's a cot which can be put in either bedroom. Additionally there's a baby bath, a high chair and a fire guard that can be attached to the wall to make the log burner safe for children and curious dogs! The cottage has it's own well fenced front and rear garden areas along with a raised terrace to relax and enjoy the beautiful views over open countryside. There's parking in the farm yard right outside the barn for 2 cars although more vehicles can be accommodated if needed.More

Homely for the humans - Perfect for the pets. Cottage was spotlessly clean and filled with thoughtful little extras. Jan and Steve are very approachable, amenable hosts. We left feeling revitalised and will definitely return. Highly recommend 5+ stars.

The sleepy hamlet of Farlow lies at the end of the Shropshire hills. Close by and tucked between The Clee Hills and the near-by Wyre Forest is the charming town of Cleobury Mortimer (approx 3 miles away), with Georgian and Tudor architecture, many individual shops, tea rooms and traditional pubs, and the renowned Church with a crooked spire and walls leaning at an alarming angle. The medieval town Ludlow is about 8 miles away in the centre of the border Marches, with the cliff top town centre above the river and overlooked by the castle. The town is famous for stunning architecture, the bustling market, food heritage and the numerous events hosted there throughout the year. The village of Ironbridge in a gorge on the River Severn is nearby
Not much in the way of public transport but if you're here for a hiking/biking holiday, that's fine. Lots of places to go right from the door. To fully appreciate the area, a car is needed.
