Welcome to Friars Lodge. We are located in the heart of Sherwood Forest in the historic village of Edwinstowe. Formerly known as a Bed and Breakfast, we have recently undergone renovations completed in early 2016 of our annex. The annex is situated on the ground floor and is completely private with its own entrance, it is located at the rear of the main house which makes an ideal location for some peace and quiet. We have bike lock up and washing down area available along with ample off road parking suitable for a motor home or horse box. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available for use in the out building, also washing line for when the weather is nice. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout your stay along with Netflix. No pets allowed. We are in a fantastic location in the village of Edwinstowe, which is home to Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood’s Major Oak tree. Also on our doorstep the local area embraces: Centre Parcs and the Aqua Sana Spa South Forest Leisure Complex Rufford Park Rufford Golf Course National Cycle Route 6 Horse riding trails and stables Sherwood Pines and Go Ape Clumber Park Thoresby Hall Hotel and Spa White Post Farm Wheelgate Sherwood Forest Railway Newark Castle Newstead Abbey Nottingham Castle and the Lace Market Woolaton Park Holme Pierrepont Country Park and Cycle Route In the village itself, we have a fantastic range of local amenities within walking distance consisting of: Numerous welcoming pubs Variety of local restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets Co op, open 8am until 10pm 7 days a week Pharmacy Post Office Tourist Information Centre We are also privileged to be close to good bus routes. Great short break

Great accommodation, clean, good acessability, solid WI-FI, lovely people, good located and Edwinstowe has a nice High Street with shops, pubs, cafe etc in easy walking distance. And short driving distance to other local attractions.

Excellent

My wife and I were visiting our son and family and needed extra accommodation - Friars Lodge offering two bedrooms, a lounge and a well equipped kitchen all to a very high standard of decoration. Many thanks, Sarah - top marks.

Lovely, lovely place!
