We really liked the cleanliness & coziness of this cottage it has a lot of historical character mixed with modern cottage decor. It has nice mutli level gardens in the back yard where you can relax by a fire pit and overlook the surrounding landscapes. We also liked that it is within walking distance to downtown Whalley so we could easily go for drinks at the local pubs.
I give it only 4 stars because we had to wait past regular check in time before we could check into the cottage because they were still cleaning it after letting the previous guests stay longer. Also the fireplace wasn't working which the property manger told us it would be fixed but it wasn't.
A few things to take note of when booking this cottage: You will have to park up the street, there are a lot of stairs both inside & in back gardens as well very poor lighting at night for entering. So not overly suitable for elderly, disabled or people with young children that require strollers.
