The cabin is highly insulated and the windows are double glazed meaning that even in the depths of winter Idaho Cabin will retain the heat and keep you warm and toasty. It is located in a beautiful part of an ancient woodland surrounded by wildflowers and abundance of fauna such as owls, woodpeckers, rabbit and deer. We pride ourselves in offering you total seclusion in the woodland. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

The cabin is set in a lovely woodland clearing and is so rustic and beautiful. The single toilet is a fair walk away and was shared between 3 families (us and the families staying in the 2 yurts on site). Prolonged queueing proved quite difficult...More

The loo and shower are approximately 80m from the cabin. Apologies if you experienced a delay. This is unusual. We do plan to increase the toilet facilities in the future. We will also include a map on the website showing exactly where the facilities are...More

About the neighbourhood
Once part of John of Gaunt’s hunting park, originally the woodland was part of Anderida Forest and would have consisted of mainly giant oak with hazel undergrowth which flourished over the damp clays and loams of the valley regions. Much of the oak has now been replaced by ash which exists today with a few oaks and a coppiced hazel understory. One of the earliest historians of the Weald, William Lambarde describes the area in his 1576 ‘Perambulation’ as “in times past nothing but a desart and waste wildernesse, not planted with towns or peopled with men, but stored with herdes of deere and droves of hogges only”. There are many attractions and villages nearby: Ashurst Wood - 1 miles Loco convenience store - open till 8pm in the Summer. Also a great butcher: Alan Martin meats. The...
Getting around
We are located approximately a mile from the nearest village which has two pubs, a corner store and a very good butcher. We are about 2.5 miles from the nearest town of East Grinstead with 3 supermarkets, various shops and a mainline railway service northwards to London. We are also 2.5 miles from the village of Forest Row with a Tesco Express and Co-Op Supermarket. There are a few cafe's and bars and pubs in the village. There is a great cycle route along the old disused railway line to Groombridge. Ashdown Forest is 2.5 miles away providing many beautiful walks through the woodland and across open heathland.
