Apple Tree Cottage is in a lovely position close to the centre of Youlgrave and conveniently located for the village amenities. The village now has 3 pubs, a Post Office/Newsagents and a very well stocked shop/cafe as well as Peak Feast Bakery. Everything you need for your stay can be bought in the village.

This beautiful cottage has been completely renovated to an exceptionally high standard with all accommodation arranged at ground level.

The cottage has a lovely south facing terrace garden with furniture for outdoor eating plus wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, along with stunning views over Bradford Dale. With external lighting it offers a perfect spot to enjoy a drink and some relaxation after a day out in the countryside.

Having just had a short break here I cannot rate it highly enough. The location is excellent, especially if you do not want to tackle some of the steeper paths in Youlgrave. Despite its proximity to the excellent pub there was absolutely no late night...More

A lovely villlage with plenty of fabulous walking nearby. The cottage was perfect size for two, very well equipped, really clean and with space to sit outside and enjoy the view. Would highly recommend the Peak Feast bakery for its range of cakes and prepared...More

About the neighbourhood
Youlgrave sits in the White Peak of the Peak District National Park in an area steeped in history stretching from the Neolithic at Arbor Low, through Roman Britain at Navio (Brough), Norman Britain at Peverill Castle Tudor Britain at Haddon Hall to the cradle of the Industrial Revolution in the Derwent Valley at Cromford.
Getting around
We have a regular bus service that links the village to Bakewell and Matlock.

Railway: Chesterfield or Buxton: 19.0 km
The cottage is located on Main Street opposite the Farmyard Pub. It is accessed down a private drive with its own parking.

Ideally guests will be arriving by car but there are train services to Matlock (from Derby) and Chesterfield (Midland Mainline). The village is also served by Hulleys' buses that go to Matlock and Bakewell.
