Town: Set in outstanding countryside, Youlgreave is an ancient village between the valleys of Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale, two of the most stunning areas in the Peak District. It was once the centre of the lead mining industry but is now a charming tourist destination. The village has three public houses, all of which serve food, two shops, a post office and a beautiful medieval church with some parts dating back to the 13th and14th Centuries. The market town of Bakewell is nearby and has a wide selection of shops and eateries along with its Monday market. With so many stately homes, beautiful scenery and outdoor pursuitsthe Peak District has so much to offer as a holiday destination and Youlgreave makes a perfect base to explore this lovely area.More

This is a lovely cosy cottage, well refurbished. There is a steep path to get there so not suitable if you have mobility problems. There are fabulous views over the river and valley. Would certainly go again.
