Named after the one of the previous farm owners (whose name was used on the local river bridge over time adjusted to ‘straight bridge’) Speight Cottage is a beautify converted old smithy / workers cottage – with views down onto the River Rawthey. This one bed cottage is set in a quiet corner of the Rawthey Valley, approx 1 mile outside the village of Sedbergh The sympathetic conversion has exposed timbers and stonework, combines with modern conveniences of underfloor heating / modern kitchen and bathroom to give a exquisite combination of both old and new. The cottage also has the benefit of a Hot Tub on the patio area so that you can enjoy the fantastic views while relaxing the day away. It is situated on a working smallholding with Highland Cattle, Donkeys and Free-range chickens.
