Interaction with guests
On your day of arrival you can check in any time after 2.30pm. A code will be sent to you in the week prior to your arrival to enable you to access the key from a secure box located by the front door to the cottage. We leave a welcome tray with as much tea and coffee as you can drink to refresh you from your journey and will pop round after your arrival to check you have settled in. There is a folder full of information about the cottage and local amenities, restaurants, places to visit, maps to guide you around Cumbria, and a box of leaflets about visitor attractions, boat and train rides, outdoor activities, and much more. We also live in the village so are on hand for any queries or help required.

Additional amenities & feature info
A luxurious 18th century barn conversion, The Coach House combines character with a contemporary finish. The ground floor comprises 3 bedrooms; a double, a twin and a bedroom with full size bunk beds. Each bedroom has its own thermostat for individual comfort, and quality mattresses aim to give a good night’s sleep. There are 2 bathrooms - the main bathroom has a shower and whirlpool bath for a relaxing jet massage, and an ensuite shower room for the master bedroom. There is a toilet in each. The downstairs is tiled in a natural limestone with under floor heating for a cosy feel. The upper floor is an open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner, with oak beams and stone walls, light and airy. A rustic oak laminate floor, and reclining leather suite add a contemporary feel. There is a flat screen digital TV and DVD player. Colour changing LED lights provide special mood lighting in the evenings. The kitchen is modern with electric oven and halogen hob, an extra quiet Bosch dishwasher, combi microwave, fridge and separate freezer. The kitchen is kept stocked with all the basic provisions you need to make holiday cooking a little easier. A small utility room downstairs houses the washing machine. Full gas central heating ensures the cottage is cosy at all times. There is a courtyard garden for dining al fresco. You can walk in the village, directly from the cottage up Heversham Head, a small hill with stunning views of the Lakeland Fells and Cumbrian coastline. We leave a folder with information about the local area - amenities, places to visit, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There is also a large box of leaflets with details of the many visitor attractions, activity centres, boat and steam train rides, walks, cycling and much more for the whole of the Lake District area.
