Misleading ad offers poor value room

The picture is in the TripAdvisor ad show a beautiful house which this is; however, they do not show a picture of the room which is tiny, poorly arranged, without any thought given to upgrading the tiny shabby curtains jammed on a rod between two...More

Perfect location, perfect house!

I went to Ajijic for dental work and lucked in to finding Patricia’s Place. It is a beautiful setting in a perfect location. A “flat” walk to the lake and shopping. Patricia is also a homeopath and supplied me with needed smoothies after my treatment....More

About the neighbourhood
The home is located just 2 short blocks from almost anything you could need including restaurants, shops and transportation to Chapala and Guadalajara. Taxi cabs are nearly always available at the plaza and we now have Uber. Ajijic is a mecca for US & Canadian expats. The Lake Chapala Society boasts the largest English language library in Mexico, along with DVD rental, movies, a coffee shop, information desk and a mine of useful information for the visitor and those looking for their next home. They have beautiful gardens to relax in and wonderful fish ponds.
Getting around
Walking is the best way to see the village, in fact its the only way to see the village of Ajijic. Walking the one and a half block up to the main Caraterra will bring you to bus stops which will take you eastwards to Chapala and Guadalajara, and also westwards to Jocotopeck and San Juan Cosala. There are also taxies to be had at the plaza until about 9 pm. After that there is a telephone number to call a taxi. Getting around is very easy.
