Happiness is in the smallest cabin, sometimes more than in big villas, because luck is more „being“ than owning something. Reduction makes us happy. Living Small is Really About Living Big These are not empty words, this is the way of living we practiced for many years on the ocean in our sailboat and an idea whose time has come. It has finally reached maturity in a new vision, on land. We want to share the vision, in a world of 'too much', of wastefulness and of restlessness. Happiness can be found in the smallest cabin, sometimes more easily than in a big villa, because happiness is more about “being“ than about owning something. The idea of living in a tiny house in the middle of nowhere, in a paradise, is even more: it is a way to be free and independent, gifted by mother nature with all the basics you need for happiness: solar power, water and warmth. A so called tiny house is built like a solid well insulated big house, but it needs only a small portion of the energy of a big house, thanks to high tech appliances and small rooms. Nothing is wasted, even the compost generated by the toilet can be used for gardening. The tiny house is built on a trailer so it is movable anywhere, either following your work or to a beautiful off-grid vacation haven. Since it is movable, like a trailer, there is no property tax for a house. It is an affordable concept, saving the cost of a mortgage and many other fees, making it especially suitable as a starter home, for young families or couples who still love each other. Our Tiny Heaven is placed on one of the most magical places we have found in 16 years traveling around the world in our boat. It sits in a lovely green field with apple trees surrounded by mountains. Facing north east, it has an ocean view, where a brook ends up as a waterfall on the private sandy beach. This is the perfect shower after swimming in the ocean. It really is a heaven with unspoiled quiet that helps you to experience life with new eyes and to feel the energy for new ideas: back to basics. Everything you need is there: a brook giving you clear drinkable mountain water or a shower inside the house in an original stylish wine barrel. There is a propane stove and a sofa by the large window, which opens to provide a single bed. Up in the loft are four screened windows and a nice queen sized bed. More

Thanks for staying with us and you are always welcome to try the other tiny houses as well, the little roomier Tiny Nest on the same apple orchard and the Tiny Loon on Lake Ainslie.

About the neighbourhood
The little fishing harbor of Inverness is only 15 minutes drive away, where you find the largest sandy beach on Cape Breton Island, many boardwalks and trails. The golf course “Cabot Links“ is one of the top ten in the world, and attracts visitors to the restaurants and cafes of the old mining village. The recently completed Trans Canada Trail connecting the Canadian East and West Coasts is close by, continuing to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and it attracts hikers from all over the world. The hospital is the biggest building in town, aside from the old Church. There is a Foodland grocery store for other necessities on the main street, along with a bakery. Everyday fishing boats come in with fresh seafood, lobster and king crab
