The Potting Shed was formerly part of nearby Hargate Hall. There is an entrance and exit drive to the property and off road parking for vehicles in front of the cottage on the paved area. New for 2019 we have a secure bike store and provide maintenance and cleaning equipment as well as boot driers. E bikes can be charged in the bike store. We welcome up to two dogs to the cottage and kindly ask they be kept on leads when outside as the cottage is surrounded by farmland. We also do not allow dogs in the bedrooms. There is an attractive garden to the front of the cottage and raised deck area for guests to relax, use the charcoal barbeque and enjoy the stunning rural views across the countryside towards MamTor. The Potting Shed is situated in the peaceful, rural hamlet of Wormhill which lies only 4 miles from Buxton where leisure facilities including swimming pool and the Pavilion Gardens can be found as well as the famous Buxton Opera House where regular music and theatre shows are a feature. Tideswell is the nearest village where small local shops and public houses can be found which is 2 miles away. For walkers and cyclists Wormhill is conveniently located for access to the Monsal Trail at Millers Dale. Bakewell and Chatsworth House are popular tourist attractions for visitors wishing to explore the Peak District and being only 8 miles away are easily reached from Wormhill. The Angler’s Rest at Millers Dale is the nearest pub to The Potting Shed, being one and a half miles away where award winning real ales can be enjoyed. All the accommodation is on one level and comprises of an entrance lobby with cloakroom. To the left is the twin bedroom and to the right is the main living room and kitchen area. The kitchen, at one end of the room, is equipped with all items needed for family dining and there is a dishwasher and microwave in addition to the cooker. At the other end of the room there is a cottage suit and wood burning stove where guests can relax and watch television, play board games that are available, listen to music or read. There is a range of adult and children’s books and toys available. We also provide Swingball for outside as well as a gas fired barbeque for al fresco dining on the decking area. Leading on from the living area is the family bathroom with shower facilities in the bath. The master bedroom is beyond the bathroom and affords space for a travel cot if needed. There is ample storage for guest’s belongings in both bedrooms.. We have a new games room that adjoins the cottage and have a snooker table, football table, games and toys that we hope all the family can enjoy. There is also a music centre which includes a docking station, table and chairs. Please note if guests are attending a wedding at Hargte Hall it is a three minute walk on the road form th cottage to the Hall.More

A maximum of 5 guests are allowed in the cottage. This includes 1 infant in a travel cot. Any guest found to have more guests than this in the cottage will be reported to Holiday Lettings and be asked to pay extra. Guests are asked to kindly park on the paving in front of the cottage rather than on The Conifers private parking area. Pets are not allowed in the bedrooms.

Break away

Cottage lovely n clean n cosy, Fire when lit is super spectacular n the views r to die for, had a great time n would book again. Tony v welcoming n we didn't need to but he was there for anything we needed to know

Fantastic location fantastic cottage

A perfect hideaway

Cosy cottage with everything we needed for a few days stay with granddaughters. The games room was a great success. Lovely seating area in the garden with great views. Close to so many lovely villages. We will be returning.

Superb property

The location is great, 2 mikes from Mikkers Dale and the Monsall trail. The view from the lounge and bedroom couldn't be bettered. I have rarely stayed in a property that was so well equipped, simply everything was to hand. Very friendly welcome from Tony....More
