While waiting at the airport we received notification that the property booked was unavailable but he had arranged another.A bit late to make other arrangements. On arrival this was a delightful apartment in a small village near the sea. Ideal. However the following day, i.e. too late to stop his payment, he told us we had to move. He moved us to a very small, damp, and decidedly tired apartment in a rundown part of the island. The tourist office said it was unsuitable. We were at his mercy. He did agree to move us again, however at his convenience, not ours. When we were late back he refused to move us. He then told us the alternative apartment was still in this very run down part of the island.
Our children realised how unset we were and they then payed for us to book alternative accommodation.
We later found out that he was refusing to pay what the landlord was asking for the alternative property, considerably less then we were paying.
