A Cajun Oasis in downtown New Iberia. Large deck overlooking the Bayou Teche, covered parking below the deck. Less than 500 feet from restaurants, pubs, shopping, and museum. James Lee Burke / Dave Robichaux fans couldn’t be closer to several place Dave visits. Located one block off of Main Street in the heart of downtown on the bayou. Very private getaway spot, with everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Full stainless steel kitchen open up to the living area, with concrete counter tops, sinker cypress bar for dinning. Keurig coffee maker and coffee cart. Murphy bed for more room during the day if needed. Whirlpool bath tub & shower. Washer and dryer. Gas grill under covered portion of the deck. Our stay was fabulous! The rental had everything we needed and more. It was convenient and walking distance to everything we needed for the weekend. The washer and dryer came in extremely handy since we have a toddler ;) The owners were also very welcoming...More

This property has a large deck overlooking the Bayou Teche and is next to Bouligny Plaza, home of the Annual World Championship Gumbo Cook-off and the annual Sugarcane festival. It is also minutes walking distance to the farmers market, food truck festival, nearby restaurants, shopping and night clubs. Bring your boat to cruise the bayou or fish right off the bank. The Bayou Chateau comes with a full stainless steel kitchen, queen size Murphy bed, sleeper sofa, whirlpool tub, cable tv, free wifi, iron, hair dryer, coffee bar and much more. Pets are always welcome. New Iberia has so much to see and do: Bayou Teche Museum Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens Avery Island and the Tabasco Co. tours Teche area Farmers Market every Tuesday
