With riverside views and a large deck under matured trees it is the ideal place to stay for your Bourbon trail excursion, a visit to Centre College in Danville, attend a local wedding or to visit the many historic attractions in the surrounding area. An ideal place for short and long term stays for tourists and business travelers alike. This quaint cottage, located in downtown on the scenic US Highway 68 and historic Merchants' Row along the Chaplin River has 2 bedrooms, which are located upstairs and 1 bathroom on the first level. The two bedrooms have king beds and in the living room there is a sofa bed. The kitchen is furnished with high end appliances and all necessary utensils to prepare gourmet meals. We provide coffee, tea, snacks and some cooking essentials for your use in the kitchen. We also provide a water kettle, coffee maker and toaster. The spacious living room with a smart TV provides cable channels and high speed WiFi. The shady deck under large matured trees has a comfortable two-seater, a table for six and a gas grill. It will be your favorite place to relax and enjoy views of the river and of Historic Elmwood Academy across the river. On street parking is available across from the cottage. Please note: You must be able to climb steep stairs to get to the bedrooms on the second level. There is no bathroom upstairs. Also there will be street noise seeing that the property is in the middle of town. I supply a starter pack for essentials for 2 days only, like toilet paper and trash bags. Our cottage is the ideal location for visitors to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Locally, Wilderness Trail Distillery is only 10 miles away in Danville, while other famous distillers are within an hour's drive: To the North are: - Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg - 25 miles - Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg - 32 miles - Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles - 44 miles To the West is: - Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto - 27 miles And a bit further west at 33 miles is the Bourbon Capital of Kentucky, the historic town of Bardstown with the following distillers: - Bardstown Bourbon Company - Heaven Hill Brands - Lux Rox Distillers - Barton 1792 Distillery - Willett DistilleryMore
