About the neighbourhood
England. Cumbria. The Lake District. South Lakeland. Located part way between Windermere and Coniston at the head of the Langdale Valley in a secluded, mature, woodland park of individually owned lodges. This is not a commercial development and guests will be staying in the owners' own private holiday home. This tranquil setting means that complete peace and quiet can be assured. You will be close to fauna, flora and plenty of wildlife, our visitors record numerous sightings of both Deer and Badgers, many of them only feet from the window. This is a special place.
Getting around
By definition The Lake District National Park is enjoyed by walkers and those who enjoy the tranquility of the hills and the water. Motorised public transport takes second position here and as such getting around isn't particularly easy and in order to take best advantage of the wonderful scenery you should think about (a) having access to private transport and (b) getting away from it as soon as you can - this magical place is best enjoyed on foot.
