Holiday Rental House
Uranya is an archontiko (stone mansion) originally built in the 18th century and transformed to an elegant modern family house. The two-level stone house has been carefully restored with respect to its history and without sacrificing its original craftsmanship. It evokes and reflects Pelion's architecture of castellated houses of that period to the fullest. Key natural elements like the exposed stone and the wood ceilings take you back in time while the whitewashed walls and spirited color accents keep it playful. Cozy with intimate charm and inviting hospitality, the antique furnishings offer a traditional home-stay experience. With a total of three bedrooms divided between floors there is plenty of space for privacy with the two bedrooms in the upper floor featuring their own fireplace. The main sitting area is flooded with natural light from over thirteen windows lined along a window box occupying the best area in front of the main fireplace for a warm gathering spot. The kitchen is an efficient compact adaptation in stone and wood, and there is an adjacent dining area that accommodates six. The terrace is a place to enjoy the views of the countryside, for peace of mind and relaxation. Uranya offers a unique and authentic experience and it's the perfect base from which to discover and enjoy the Pelion peninsula. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 0726K92000436201More

I enjoyed my stay here enormously! It's a two-storey house in mint condition with special style! Even though you have to walk a bit from the main street to get there, I fairly liked the walk as the cobbled street leading there is so pretty...More

About the neighbourhood
The village’s architecture style is unique, and is one that has been maintained through past decades. The view of the hillsides and Pagassitikos bay is breathtaking, and the surrounding area is dominated by olive trees, vineyards and apple trees. It's an excellent starting point for day trips: hike in the forests and the marvelous cobblestone tracks, stroll over stone bridges and visit the traditional villages of Milies and Vizitsa, or explore the coastline with a wide spectrum of sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages.
How to get there
The villa is situated at Pinakates, a beautiful village on the mountainside of Pelion. It is located in one of the quietest neighborhoods of the village, nested away from the main road into the mountain side. House is only accessible on foot by walking along an unpaved path for about five minutes. Volos is 25 km and the closest airport is Volos (VOL) International Airport, a distance of 50 km. Guests can also reach Pinakates from Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG), a distance of 250 km. Athens International Airport (ATH) is a four hours drive, a distance of 365 km.
