We have utilized this property for many years on President's Day weekend. We rented the space this year again after the space was offline for renovations in 2017.
When we entered the property on Friday, the interior of the property smelled heavily of polyurethane. We didn't think anything of it but would have done something different reflecting back.
We had a great time in the space as a community and left the house in good shape.
We were contacted by the realtor who we booked the space through that they were holding onto our deposit due to damage made to floors. Pictures were sent that showed shoe prints in the floor finish which is odd as no wood floor should retain shoe prints within the finish. With several interactions between us and the realtor, they claimed we damaged the floor when it was obvious the floors had been refinished improperly.
