Its large picture window opens to views of your private patios and beyond to the open lawns with gazebo and the constantly changing colors of the flower gardens. The adjacent kitchen is complete for preparing meals using its ample counter space and facilities. An open stair leads to the super-sized master bedroom with adjacent sunroom and desk space and the second bedroom with windows on two walls. Both bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds and ample clothes hanging closets and drawer space. The bathroom has been updated with an all new shower and a basin sink on the vanity counter. Just off the bathroom is the laundry with its washer and dryer. The coach house furnishings are historic with a few exceptions. They come from an ante bellum plantation house in Alabama and residences in Nashville, Georgetown and the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Provided for you are a high speed (60 bit/second) wireless internet connection, cable television, plenty of convenient parking, and a queen-size air inflated bed, if requested. As an option, the main house's three-season room adjacent to the coach house with its own entrance may be available. It has a greenhouse roof and full set of windows opening to the landscape and gardens. The room, can seat as many as 16, features a profusion of plants, a buffet table, high definition television, and an oversized fire place which was originally the place for cooking in the outdoor summer kitchen. This space is ideal for parties, family gatherings and seminars or training sessions. Inquire for more details and scheduling. More

About the neighbourhood
The coach house is a part of the original house built in 1795 on three-acres at the very heart of the historic village of South Britain with its 22 historic houses, a few from the 17th century. Across the street from the house is the Congregational Church founded in 1725 and, after a fire, rebuilt in 1835. We have Southbury's first Village Hall (1873) and first library (1904); the former is a local museum and the latter houses a collection of books about the village and town histories. The Country Store is a block away with a veranda where neighbors congregate. A short mile away walking along the Pomperaug River is the Audubon Society's Bird Sanctuary with field glasses to watch the diverse species feeding at multiple stations. Within a short walk or jog along a farm road with its pas...
