ShaSha's place feels like stepping into a little dream. It's really the best of both worlds in that the wood stove, functional antique phones and 1910 construction gives you the sensation of being away from it all, but you don't lose out on amenities - there's high quality bedding and towels, strong hot water, TV with streaming networks hidden under textiles that suit the décor, and a Very fancy bidet with a warmed seat. You can spend a couple days just discovering all the gorgeous intricacies of the space. There are many quirks but ShaSha left clearly labeled instructions all over the house, which I really appreciated. We didn't need to ask any questions, but when we did contact her she was very prompt/available. The Japanese tub is a tight fit for two, but we didn't mind, it still beats out a hot tub with all the chemicals and loud noise. Looking up at the stars in the bath was a highlight. Overall we loved our stay and hope to come back. Also we recommend the early morning kayak/paddle board tour with Cecilia through the Stinson beach shop. She'll make sure you're out at high tide and that you respect the local habitat. Two baby seals swam and played in the wake of my paddle board and I'll never forget it!
