Just for two people this lovely dog free cottage is an ideal escape for walkers or cyclists or the discerning visitor.
Little Hare Barn offers a large space of three rooms for guests to visit the National Park, Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains.

Sheep grazing near, Little Hare Barn hides in a secret valley, on a path to the Sugar Loaf.

Towels and linen included, basic groceries, toilet paper, kitchen paper.

Breakfast room, wet room and a spacious bedroom with double bed.
Ground floor bedroom with double bed, soft lighting, bring slippers.
Breakfast room has all you need to self cater for a week or w/e.
Cooker, hob, sink, large table, fridge & freezer compartment, microwave, washer-drier. Tea and fresh coffee supplied, along with home made jams and a cake too. Coffee maker with pods.

Come and discover a unique conservation location for walking or cycling, maps available in cottage. The area is very tourist friendly and guests will find a welcome all around. Cycle hire from Hay on Wye and from local garage. The area has a Canal, Raglan Castle, Tretower Court, an Elizabethan Manor House, Big Pit Mining Museum, admission free. Llanthony and Tintern Abbeys, ideal for picnics or find a local pub. Churches, rivers for fishing and some canoeing. Wye and Usk, all in very beautiful countryside, the tributary below the barns flows into the Usk. We will send all the information to guests on an email. If Guests need help, we can help. But we prefer to provide information before the guests arrive. Dog free cottages.

The location is a little away from the city, great for a getaway. Jane told us all the tips we needed. We recommend it.

This place is a gem. Tucked away in the hills but near the lovely town of Crickhowell. The scenery is stunning, half way to the Sugarloaf. It's comfortable, with all mod cons. We have already booked to return.

About the neighbourhood
The Brecon Beacons National Park includes The Black Mountains and Sugar Loaf, where Little Hare Barns are located. The hills are home to many sheep who graze the hills or mountains during summer. Birds native to the habitat nest on the Mountains, harrier hawks, Red Kite, Grouse, local Partridge, cuckcoo in spring. On Talybont Reservoir which includes a waterfall walk, and Llangorse Lake many more water loving birds can be found. The area is a haven for wildlife and a place for people to come and enjoy the open spaces.
With two Abbeys near by and a castle in every town, both welsh or Norman, planning days out is fun. The B roads and tow path are good for cycling.
Getting around
The A40 runs East to West through Wales, Little Hare Barns are 1.5 miles off A40. From Abergavenny to Crickhowell to Brecon to Llandovery to Llandielo to Carmarthen to Haverfordwest, a great cycle route. The A479 follow the Wye valley to Talgarth with its new Bakery and flour mill. From Talgarth, Hay on Wye can be found, it is a town with many book shops and opens for a Literary Festival each May/June. Our Abbeys offer great places to visit and take a picnic, or find a local pub. With so many Castles, days out will be exciting.
Dining out will be a pleasure, The Bear in Crickhowell and other good cafes and Hotels.
Abergavenny has The Angel Hotel, Walnut Tree Restaurant, Hardwick with Stephen Terry, and other places to eat out.
