Centrally located in a friendly residential street of the attractive coastal market town of Fishguard, with a good selection of galleries, pubs, eateries and shops and has become known for the magnificent Last Invasion Tapestry. Lower town has a picturesque harbour and Goodwick is the place to catch the ferry to Rosslare in Ireland which makes a great day trip. In fact, Fishguard is well placed for all sorts of sightseeing trips such as Preseli Hills, Gwaun Valley, St Davids, Newport, Porthgain, Whitesands, Strumble Head, Dinas and Cardigan are all within a 10 to 30 minute drive and are perfect for sightseeing and convey the beauty of the landscape, history and variety of the area. Entrance is into the STUDY/SNUG with wood burning stove, writing desk with chair, armchair and occasional table. A door leads to the attractive SITTING ROOM which has another wood burning stove, contemporary sofa, armchair, coffee tables and a flat screen TV with DVD player. The KITCHEN/DINING ROOM looks out to the back garden. The galley kitchen is newly fitted with cream Shaker style cupboards and integral appliances of electric oven, halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave oven and washer/dryer. The DINING area has a circular dining table and 4 chairs and a pretty pine wall cabinet. Stairs lead from the small entrance hallway to the First floor: The MASTER BEDROOM is furnished with a four poster double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, built in cupboard and a sink. BEDROOM 2 has a single bed, chest of drawers and chair. The BATHROOM has a suite of bath with electric shower, WC and hand basin. Second floor: There is a lovely attic room with sloped ceilings and Velux windows. There are two single beds in the attic for occasional use with owner's prior consent - please bear in mind that the property is best suited to a couple or party of 3. Garden and Parking There is a small and fully enclosed walled back garden with a lawn area, small patio and a garden table with chairs. There is parking in the nearby council car park(50 yards). Other Information There is electric heating throughout; this is included from May to September and charged for by a meter reading from October to April. Please pay the owner on departure. A complimentary basket of logs is provided on arrival. More can be purchased locally. The beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival (not the attic beds). Towels are available to hire at £5 per guest. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. One small well behaved pet is welcome. No smoking in the cottage.More

A delightful, spacious, dog friendly cottage situated 5 minutes from Fishguard town centre. Well kept and clean with all amenities. 4 stars as there was an extra charge for towels and the electric, which came to £20 for a week despite us eating out at...More

Fishguard is on an hourly bus route providing access to Newport, Haverfordwest, and Aberystwyth. Buses to St. Davids run every two hours, and there is an additional coastal bus three times a day during the summer. Please visit the Pembrokeshire County Council website for further details. The nearest train station is Fishguard & Goodwick just over a mile away. The town service bus runs from the train station to Fishguard town centre.
