The cottage is an ideal base for walkers, those seeking water based pursuits, family beach holidays or just those seeking a romantic getaway. It provides a great holiday base from which to enjoy the nearby sandy beaches and the fabulous surrounding countryside. With stunning hill and coastal paths to be followed from the doorstep, and the nearby cliffs offering stunning panoramic views of the Cader Idris Mountains and of the bay below, this lovely Barmouth cottage has plenty to offer all year round. We will consider short breaks in off peak season,or peak season in some circumstances. minimum 3 nights, just contact us for availability etc.. Please note there are features in this quirky cottage which may not suit everyone. The second bedroom is in the attic space and is accessed via a space saving paddle staircase which may be difficult for the young or infirm to negotiate. Due to the nature of the property the basement ceiling is low. Small dogs are accepted and we have made the simple courtyard into an attractive space. It is securely enclosed but is overlooked by the neighboring properties. We now ,unfortunately, have to ask guests for a deposit on booking due to problems we have encountered recently with guests mis treating our property and not behaving responsibly . The deposit is held on our behalf by Holiday Lettings and we don't have access to it .It is promptly paid back to the Guests unless we are forced to file a claim due to a Guest leaving the property in an extremely bad condition . We feel that this is the only way to attract responsible people to our cottage . More

About the neighbourhood
One of the most picturesque resorts on the Welsh coast, Barmouth is surrounded by the unrivalled splendour of the Snowdonia National Park. This traditional seaside town boasts an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for families. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants combined with the mild climate, make this an ideal destination for a holiday, even out of season. A paradise for walkers, climbers and cyclists, Mount Cader Idris is nearby, the second highest mountain in Wales. An abundance of wildlife along the Mawddach Estuary, trout fishing in mountain lakes, Harlech Castle, St David;s golf course and Portmeirion Italianate Village – just a handful of the many superb attractions within easy reach of this lovely spot
How to get there
If you are coming by car -- We normally park on Saint Johns Hill (from cottage turn right out of water street , then first right --the road opposite the outdoor Garden Centre on corner next door to the Spar mini supermarket )on the Church Hall car park -- see Bernard for £2 per day ! Or park on the road for free ( if spaces available and legal to do so.)-- You may also find spaces down Park Road ( left at The Royal ) We normally stop briefly outside property to unload quickly and then find a space to park (just watch out for traffic wardens and especially watch out for mobile speed camera units ,they love them in North Wales -- coast roads to Barmouth beware! ) If coming by Rail we are only less than 5 min walk away from Station .
