About the neighbourhood
The house is on a quiet sea front, facing west for amazing sunsets . Yet it is near the centre of Barmouth with its many small shops, cafes, restaurants, wine bars, fish and chips, 3 supermarkets, doctor surgery, and the harbour! From there you can take the ferry or walk/cycle across the Grade II listed viaducts across one of the most beautiful Welsh estuaries surrounded by views of Snowdonia. From there progress north along the Cambrian Coast or follow the old railway line up the river Mawddach. These routes stretch for miles on flat surface. There are also stunning hill walks on the door step with views over the Estuary, Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula. The walk is rich in history: it was the first National Trust acquisition (1895).
How to get there
Barmouth is reachable by road and train. We are less than 1/2 mile from the train station.
