Skye is an amazing place to visit and whatever the weather we hope that you have an amazing time on the Island. I can help with recommendations of places to visit, day trips and also with restaurant recommendations. Skye has a number of award-winning and world-class restaurants that become fully booked weeks in advance. It's best to make a reservation as early as possible.

About the neighbourhood
Creagach Cottage is situated on the Waternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye and is a great base for exploring the Island. Waternish itself has a Michelin Star restaurant called Lochbay and it's also home to Stein Inn, the oldest Inn on Skye, dating back to the 1700s. There are also two Dark Sky Parks at Stein and Trumpan - perfect for Star Gazing or Aurora watching. Many local crofts sell produce in honesty boxes at the roadside, so you can shop for freshly laid eggs, jam, chutney, cheese and cakes! Others sell art and knitwear so be sure to pop in and visit if you see a sign at the roadside.
Getting around
A car is essential as townships in Skye are remote. To make the most of your visit you should try to see as much of the island as possible and a car is required to do this. You cannot rely on Public Transport.
